Daniela Lehner’s musically diverse recital captures the essence of this year’s Festival, moving effortlessly from the central Europe of Schumann, whose bicentenary we celebrate, to the South Africa of Villa-Lobos via some real ‘Discoveries’ from both sides of the Atlantic. The setting is Christopher Wren’s largest building after St Paul’s Cathedral.
