Tom Hoffman is an international banker. He is a member of the City's Court of Common Council, and a member of six Corporation of London committees. Outside local government he is involved in education, music, museums, and hospital administration; he is Chairman of the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, a Governor of Birkbeck University of London, a Governor of the City of London School for Girls, and a Member of the Council of Gresham College. He is a Trustee of Stour Music Festival, and for many years was a Member of the Advisory Boards (and latterly also Chairman) of The Sixteen Choir & Orchestra and the London Festival Orchestra; he is a Governor of the Museum of London, a Trustee of the Museum in Docklands, and he is also a Governor of King's College Hospital, London
