Mark Taylor, chairman and founder of the City Arts Club, is a musician by training but a lawyer by profession. He studied classical guitar and French horn at Chethams and gained his degree in Music at York before studying law and qualifying as a solicitor.

He heads up the London corporate practice of international law firm, Dorsey & Whitney. He is a keen supporter of musical charities in the City and has been a trustee of the City Arts Trust since 2003
