6pm Series: ATOS Trio - Monday 11 July

Time: 18:00

St Margaret Pattens

Following a triumphant first visit last summer, ATOS Trio returns with a programme that encapsulates the artistic essence of the Festival. Framed by the familiar delights of Schubert and Mendelssohn, the trio plays a new work by one of Australia’s most talented composers, Paul Stanhope: Dolcissimo Uscignolo (Sweetest Nightingale) is an imaginative reconstruction of a Monteverdi madrigal, the music celebrating the ‘singer of the night’ – a fitting contribution to the Festival’s celebration this summer of birdsong at the heart of music.
