1000 most influential Londoners

The Evening Standard released 'London's 1000 most influential people 2010' list yesterday and the Festival's director, Mr Ian Ritchie, was again listed in the classical music section.

City of London Festival wins 2010 Greener Festival Award

For the second year running, the City of London Festival has been awarded the Greener Festival Award. The awards are given by environmental campaign group A Greener Festival in recognition of festivals which prioritise sustainability and promote environmental awareness. The City of London Festival is one of 14 UK winners including Glastonbury, the Isle of Wight Festival and Bristol Harbour Festival.

BNY Mellon announced as Festival Sponsor

The City of London Festival has announced that BNY Mellon will be the lead sponsor of the 2010 Festival, which runs from 21 June to 9 July in various locations throughout the City and extending into Canary Wharf.

Henk Neven wins Dutch music prize

HENK NEVEN had been awarded the Netherlands Music Prize 2010, the highest distinction awarded to musicians in the Netherlands. He will be performing at this year's City of London Festival on Monday 5 July.
