Legacies
Over the past 50 years the City of London Festival has made a significant cultural impact. Legacies provide a much-needed source of income to continue our exciting and innovative work. Every legacy we receive - no matter how small - is a lasting gift that will help us continue to enrich and benefit audiences in the City and beyond.
If you wish, you may specify that your donation goes towards a particular area of our work, new commissions or one of our education projects, for example, or you can leave for us to decide where your gift is most needed.
Leaving a gift in your will is not complicated and it is very tax efficient. The City of London Festival is a registered charity and gifts in wills for charitable purposes are exempt from inheritance tax. If the tax-free portion of your estate is left to relatives and friends, with the balance going to charity, then your entire estate becomes 'tax free' - regardless of its size.
