St Anne & St Agnes

Gresham Street
London
EC2V 7BX

St Anne & St Agnes at one point was known as 'St Anne in the Willowes', presumably when this part of the city had a greener aspect. The church was re-built by Sir Christopher Wren after the great fire of London in 1666, and re-consecrated in 1680. Following severe bomb damage during World War II, the Lutheran Church assisted in restoring the building according to Wren's design.
